"Macaroni Bechamel" ( Oven Baked Macaroni)

Oh yehhhhs.. another friend-tasted and approved dish, compliments of Chef Lujee!

Meghci, meghci *takes a bow*.. allow me to inghoduce ze wondeghful macaghoni wiz "bashamel".. a luscious, delicious, cgheamy white sauce zat goes on top of ze macaghoni and zen it's all baked in ze oven..

What you'll need for ze bashamel :

1 cup of milk
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
a pinch of salt
and a pinch of pepper

Ze minced meat :

About 1/4 Kg ground beef
1 chopped onion
a teaspoon of salt
and a teaspoon of pepper

and of coughse, ze macaghoni.. about a 1/2 Kg of Penne Rigate.

You cook ze macaroni while you chop ze onion.. zis is by boiling ze water and leaving ze macaroni in for about 15 minutes.. be careful not to leave it for too long or it will be all gooey!

You fry ze chopped onion in some butter and zen add ze ground beef and lower ze temperature and leave them to cook together for a while (you may add a liiiiittle water).. you can also add tomato paste if you like.. I peghsonally liiiike!

Ze bashamel is prepared by frying ze flour with ze butter till it becomes a little golden, but without changing colour too much, zen add ze cup of milk and keep stirring till its texture is smooth (increase milk if needed).. and add ze salt and pepper while stirring.

Finally, spread butter on ze bottom and sides of ze oven pan thingy, add a layer of macaroni, zen add ze layer of minced meat, zen another layer of macaroni and zen spghead ze bashamel on top.

You put zat in ze oven at 250 degrees for about 20 minutes, until the face gets a little bghownish... et bon appetit! ~^_^~
